The calendar is flipping to July, and for college football bettors that means just two more months until the 2015 season kicks off. Everyone has their favorite to win the College Football Playoff and national championship, but here are three live underdogs that could cash in big if they can shock their way to the top this year.
Let’s take a look at some of the  sports betting odds on some live dogs:

Oregon Ducks +2,000
Yeah, Marcus Mariota and a bunch of other starters are gone from last year’s national title runner-up, but as we’ve seen with Oregon in the past: this is a system. The Ducks are ready to plug in new parts and possibly have one of the deepest receiving corps in the country, in part to an injury-plagued 2014 campaign. Oregon also brings back sophomore RB Royce Freeman, who rushed for 1,365 yards and 20 touchdowns as a freshman and is a +2,500 dark horse to win the Heisman Trophy. No shortage of weapons for whoever wins the QB battle this summer.

Louisiana State Tigers +2,000
The Tigers have fallen off the pace in the SEC but a program like LSU doesn’t stay down for long. Louisiana State has a new defensive coordinator in Kevin Steele, and expects more of the same from its shutdown secondary. The big issue – and the one that will make LSU a contender or pretender – is at quarterback. The Tigers couldn’t pass the ball to save their lives last season and hope either Anthony Jennings or Brandon Harris step up. Tailback Leonard Fournette will be the backbone of this offense and is a Heisman hopeful at +500 odds.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets +5,000
Say what you want about the Yellow Jackets’ spread option, it gets the job done. Georgia Tech came oh-so-close to knocking off Florida State in the ACC title game and showed it was a program to reckon with by knocking off rival Georgia and smashing Mississippi State in the Orange Bowl. There’s turnover in the rushing corps but the Ramblin’ Wreck brings back four starters on the offensive line and QB Justin Thomas. The Jackets are pegged to win the ACC Coastal and if they can go undefeated and find their way into the playoff, anything can happen with this unorthodox team.
